Backstory
Iβm 35. I know lots of people in the city but donβt have many close friends. I mostly stick to myself and work on my inventions in my spare time. I inherited the shop from the eccentric man I was apprenticed under. I sought him out because I have always been fascinated by jewelry and he taught me how to make it. After years of working with him he showed me how to make small magical machines and I started tinkering from there. I started working for him when I was 17 and I was his apprentice for 10 years, his partner for 5 years and then took ownership of the shop. I live in a small apartment above the shop (still working on the name of it). I am a slightly quirky person but I can put on the charm for a customer when needed. My family lives in a house/apartment in the city, in a nearby housing district. My parents moved to the city shortly after I was born. They were seeking a better job for my father, thinking the trading city would be a prosperous place. My father found a job as a somewhat successful merchant of antiquities. When profits were low my mother would work as a washerwomen to make sure we had food, but we mostly lived comfortably. I have a brother 2 years older than me, he is married and lives in the capital with his wife and 2 boys. I also have a sister 4 years younger than me and a brother 10 year younger than me. My younger sister still lives with my parents and plans to take on my fatherβs business. My brother is enrolled in a university in the city, heβs a bit aimless and heβs mostly there to get our parents off his back.
